Today's 'Silly' challenge is truly a family affair, with the motivation coming straight from the source of pure joy: my daughter.
For a quick recap of Day 1: It was all about making silly sounds. My daughter decided that day that we just needed to "make sounds and hang upside down." It was an absolute blast and perfect practice for my New Year's resolution: laughing out loud and not being so serious.
Letting her be the instructor is one of the best forms of medicine!
Today’s Shift: The Gentle Inversion (The "Chill" Version) 🧘♀️
While I might do a more grounding inversion stretch on hikes (feet apart to release the lower back), this shared inversion is purely for therapeutic play and connection. We're keeping it simple: lying comfortably on our bed and letting our heads rest off the side for two minutes. This subtle shift effectively supports the polyvagal nerve and encourages synaptogenesis—without requiring advanced gymnastics. It is completely accessible and grounding.
