đŸ–„ïž Have a dedicated graphics card in your PC? Windows installs the first driver and calls it a day. Problem is, you may miss newer patches, performance fixes and game optimizations. Download the NVIDIA App or AMD Adrenalin app, then turn on automatic updates. You’ll also get cool features like “frame smoothing.” Yes, it’s free.

đŸ˜¶â€đŸŒ«ïž Hello takes over:

Don’t you love when someone moves your house keys? I certainly don’t. That’s basically what Microsoft is doing with its optional Windows 11 update KB5089573, making Windows Hello, face or fingerprint, your default sign-in on Windows PCs. Even if you switch back to a PIN, Windows overrides you unless you enter that PIN three times in a row. I like faster logins, but I don’t want to be shoved into mandatory biometrics.

Stop calls taking over your iPhone:

A full-screen call alert is annoying when you’re in the middle of something. Fix it at Settings > Apps > Phone > Incoming Calls, then switch “Full Screen” to “Banner.” Next time a call comes in, it’ll show as a small alert at the top. Swipe up to ignore it and keep moving.
