What a rainy day in Florida!! Today was Round ONE of the PGA Women's Stroke Play Tournament. We are playing at PGA Villages and today's round was on the Wanamaker. I was so fortunate to be paired with Allie Knight! Not only is she a wonderful player (she is currently leading the Championship division)and very nice but she also had a full cover for the cart. It rained on and off on the front nine, a very steady rain for all the back nine until that steady rain turned into downpour for the last two holes!!! Wow!! I told Allie that we couldn't get any more wet after the 15th hole and two holes later, I had to retract my statement!!! We were completely soaked after the 18th hole! I played well shooting a 77 with one birdie and one blow up hole (a triple). Currently, in fifth. Looking forward to playing the Ryder Course tomorrow with hopefully some better weather!!

I am so excited!! Today is the day that I get a lesson on the golf course!! yes, you read that correctly. I am the one receiving a lesson vs. giving a lesson. I know personally that it feels like my golf score would drop if only I had a better, more repeatable - MORE CONSISTENT - golf swing...Can you relate? It strange to say this, but now that I am playing in more tournaments this past year, I am really learning about how the mental side of the game comes into play for me. I have embraced working on golf from several different angles and look forward to bringing this information to my students. I have embraced/changed....a way to meditate to benefit my energy on the course and ability to get into "flow", my preshot routine both in full swing and in putting, worked hard to get better feel in short game, and on my distance control with putting. I am seeing a difference!! If curious about anything I have said, reach out and will share more!!! And stay tuned, will let you know how the playing lesson goes!!
