In July 2009 I became a biological mother for the first time, and I found myself needing to create in order to keep any semblance of sanity. I Love my child, but I needed an outlet, a catharsis - and making was just that. Eight years ago today I was at my first trade show in Chicago. That was two years after I started my business. This was my first booth, complete with way too many printed catalogs and so many pieces of furniture that we packed in our mini can for the trip. I miss traveling. I miss showing and shopping at shows. But we’re continuing to play it safe, at home. And that’s a-ok with us. Here’s to another 8 years.

Well, hello there. Long time no see! I figured maybe it was high time I re-introduce myself to social as I've been a little caught up in (well, Covid) but also homeschooling my kiddo and running and .bloomington through this dreaded pandemic. ANYWHO....⁠⠀

Howdy! My name is Talia and I'm the maker, designer, owner, etc of Conduit. This year as we settle into the groove of life in a pandemic, I'm setting out to reinvigorate Conduit! I have a whole slew of new leather ideas and *gasp* my partner and I just purchased a Glowforge and I'm looking forward to expanding the Conduit into wood as well! ⁠⠀
