To get a hazmat endorsement you have to be at least 21 years old, hold a CDL, and not have any disqualifying criminal offenses. The process itself requires a few steps:

1️. Apply for your hazmat endorsement and have a background check (you can do this online, at an application center, or at your DMV - depending on your state requirements)
2. Take a vision test
3. Take the written test (30 questions)

It takes up to 60 days to complete the whole process. Once you get it, the endorsement is valid for 5 years and you can start your certified journey!
