We hope you can join us at Prosser on Saturday at 12 noon for another exciting Grand Opening event! BPL is thrilled to present the Justice Dance Performance Project’s Book Dances. Against a backdrop of increasing challenges to intellectual freedom, Book Dances celebrates the power of books to widen vision, open possibility, and create connection.
Members of JDPP’s professional Ensemble will perform selected solos and a duet from the 2025 work, "Book Dances", that examines the joys of reading and the fragility of the right to read freely. As an interactive finale, audience members will be invited to join in community and learn JDPP's pop-up community dance, as an expression of hope and healing. We'll then have a talkback where you can ask questions about this artistic creation.
The Justice Dance Performance Project (JDPP) is a critically acclaimed dance and multi-arts organization. Its mission is to educate, inspire, and ignite awareness, bridging the boundaries of art and social justice to create a more equitable society in ways that spark individual growth and collective action.
