If we asked you what you hoped for, what would you say? Better health, a raise at work, for the kids to make good decisions?
One definition of hope, the one we are most accustomed to, is a desire for a certain outcome. It is a child looking at the presents Christmas morning with a certain toy in mind. In ancient Bible times, hope had a second meaning: confident expectation.
Join us tomorrow morning as we look at hope in all of its definitions and see how it applies to our lives and faith.

Legacy family, because of your extravagant generosity through June's One Thing, we were able to take a car full of diapers, pull-ups, and wipes to the Missouri Slope Areawide United Way! Your donations are greatly appreciated to help support babies and children in need here in the Bismarck area.

Do you know a family who could use a little extra help as the school year approaches? We'd love for you to share this opportunity with them.

Happy Independence Day! πΊπΈ
Today, we give thanks for the freedoms we enjoy and remember that, as followers of Christ, freedom is also a calling.
As our Bishop Lanette Plambeck reminded us in a recent letter, "In the Wesleyan tradition, freedom is not merely freedom FROM something. It is freedom FOR something: loving God, loving neighbor, pursuing mercy and justice, and participating in God's healing work in the world."
May this day be filled with joy, gratitude, and opportunities to share God's love with those around you. Happy 4th of July from your church family! β€οΈπ€π

This Sunday, we start a new sermon series entitled "Any Time, Any Place, Any Thing". When do you expect to "hear" something from God? Sunday mornings in service? During quiet time? How about the movie theater or a concert? God can speak to us through any thing, at any time, and in any place.
In this series, we will look at some of the ways God speaks to us through movies, books, and TV. The series starts off with Pastor Cory's all-time favorite movie, "Harvey". If you haven't seen it, you should. It stars Jimmy Stewart as Elwood P. Dowd, an affable character who is kind to everyone, but has a peculiar friend named Harvey. Join us this Sunday and hear what God has for you through "Harvey".
