🚨 Windows 10 support ends October 14, 2025! 🚨

Should you rush out and buy a new PC? Short answer is no.

The end of life for Windows 10 won't be dramatic like driving off of a cliff. Your machine will continue to function and work for quite a while. What will happen is that you'll stop receiving any updates, security updates or fixes. This could put you at an enhanced risk in the future for malware or apps not working properly.

Options:
1. You may be able to update your Windows version for free. So try these steps:
Check to see if this is an option for you by opening Settings > Privacy and Security > Windows Update. If your PC meets the minimum system requirements and is able to upgrade, you should see an option in Windows Update to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

2. Upgrade your machine. My take is if you aren't quite ready to upgrade your pc then wait until you are ready. If your machine still operates and serves you well, then continue to use it. Then, once you are ready, you can upgrade your machine and it will come with the latest Windows already installed.
