The Alabama Scottish Rite Foundation is now supporting Alabama educators who wish to become Certified Academic Language Therapists (CALTs) at an Alabama university-based CALT program. Our primary efforts are for Alabama's dyslexic children and education. We are supporters of the Alabama Teacher of the Year and the Teacher Hall of fame.

Alabama Scottish Rite Foundation CALT Scholarship Application 10/19/2022

We are no longer providing dyslexia testing as the demand for our services became far greater than we could accommodate and our waiting list exceeded one year!

We are excited to now be able to offer dyslexia assessment training to schools when requested. We are also directing our resources to assist teachers to become Certified Academic Language Therapists via our new CALT grant program!

Schools wishing to obtain dyslexia assessment training should email our director, Dr. Denise Gibbs at [email protected] to schedule online training at no cost to schools.

Teachers wishing to become CALTs at an Alabama university CALT training program may apply for an Alabama Scottish Rite Foundation CALT Grant. The annual deadline for grant applications for those wishing to enroll in the University of Alabama CALT program is January 7. Here is a link to our grant application!
