Yesterday, I posted on how positive self-talk and being your biggest cheerleader is essential in developing self-confidence. Some of you asked me what that looks like so I’m bringing this post back on the feed.
One way to support yourself is through self-validation. It is like being your own best friend, giving yourself the support and encouragement you need to thrive. When we validate ourselves, we recognize our worth and celebrate our achievements, which boosts our confidence and self-esteem. This positive reinforcement triggers the release of feel-good neurotransmitters in the brain, such as dopamine and serotonin, making us feel happier and more resilient.
It’s important to remember that while it’s nice to have validation from others, we don’t have to rely on it for our sense of self-worth. We can validate our decisions and experiences on our own, without depending on external approval. By doing so, we take control of our own narrative and build a solid foundation of confidence and security within ourselves.
What is a statement or affirmation you often use to validate yourself?
Take care of your mind and body. Love, Nawal ♥️

Therapy sometimes makes us feel like we took a step back, but this often what helps us make progress in stepping forward.
Remember: a step back doesn’t erase your progress
