Nolan Xavier Wells went missing on July 4th while on a trip on Horn Island in Mississippi with 3 friends. Today, following the efforts of his family & local law enforcement, Wells was found deceased on the island. According to reports, the family of the friends that were on the trip with Wells have given statements following his disappearance, though they collectively claim to not know what happened to Wells on the trip. Nolan’s phone was discovered on still on the boat during his disappearance & was later returned to his family. While the circumstances of the tragic situation remain unclear, many online have spoken out. The case of Nolan Xavier Wells eerily mirrors the 2018 death of Tamla Horsford; the one & only Black friend amongst a predominantly white friend group mysteriously ending up deceased. In Tamla Horsford’s case, she was found deceased in a backyard after attending a slumber party involving other neighborhood moms. While Horsford autopsy revealed multiple blunt force injuries, abrasions & several conflicting witness statements, authorities claimed no evidence of foul play was discovered, closing the case permanently. Horsford death was ruled “accidental”. We can only hope the truth is bought to light in the case of Nolan Xavier Wells.
