Today, we reflect on the powerful words of Oscar Handlin. Handlin opened the eyes of the American people to the undeniable truth that our nation is built on the stories, struggles, and triumphs of immigrants. This message remains profoundly relevant in today’s world.
As we continue to navigate discussions around identity and inclusion, let us remember that our diversity is not something to erase—it’s what makes us Americans. Let’s honor and celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures that define our history and future.

It’s important to do a deep dive into your immigration records and access your current situation to fully comprehend what you may be eligible for. For example, your ‘Notice to Appear’ may have been defective back when you were in court proceedings and you never even knew about it. In that case, you may have a path to reopen your case and apply for relief that can earn you a green card.
I’m currently working on a motion to reopen for a client, so if you think this might apply to you, reach out! Don’t let one setback stop you—there could still be a way forward!
