WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE

1st Shift MONDAY-FRIDAY 6:15 AM-3 PM

(POSSIBLE OVERTIME AS NEEDED)

Assist with inventory control of processing and selecting orders from inventory stock.
Inspect all products for any defects or damages, assist shipping and receiving department with loading and unloading of inventory, must carry the ability with organization, planning, time management, work solo or as a team member

CorTech International has a growing Warehouse/Distribution Client in Chicago that is growing and expanding its operations. They are seeking Warehouse Associates for their new warehouse in Chicago.

Position Summary of Warehouse Associate:

Perform a variety of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and
materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock or inventory in the warehouse or distribution center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate:
• Process, pack, and ship orders accurately
• Maintain inventory of products and supplies; restock as needed
• Inspect products for damages; report as needed
• Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment
• Receive and appropriately sort and store incoming products
• Prepare products for shipping
• Follow all safety protocol and warehouse procedures
• Off-load inbound inventory from LTL or common carrier trucks
• Check and verify inbound inventory quantities against purchase orders documents
• Interact with Inventory Control to ensure accurate inventory data
• Maintain high productivity, quality, and accuracy
• Identify errors to normal processing and escalate accordingly
• Operate shipping carrier manifesting machines
• Meet daily productivity goals
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Skills and Abilities of Warehouse Associate:
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions for picking and packing, carrier routing and sorting, shipping requirements, etc.
• Ability to count and understand numeric values and do basic math to watch unit of measure, expiration dates, lot numbers, product rotation (FIFO)
• Understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic data entry and computer skills
• PRevious work experience in a warehouse, distribution center, factory, industrial or production environment as a warehouse associate, warehouse worker, general labor, picker, packer, shipping, receiving, materials handler, assembler, assembly, or other factory work.

• Ability to perform varied and repetitive warehouse tasks during assigned shifts including standing, walking, bending or stooping to ground level shelves, and reaching to upper shelves (some shelves will require using a ladder (8 feet)
• Regularly lift and/or move objects up to and including 50lbs.
• Regularly use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
• Ability to work in warehouse climate with a temperature range of 55-80 degrees
