hem by driving slowly around downtown and calling out to those huddled in doorways, on sidewalks and in parks. We even go up to those curled up for warmth in a sleeping bag or blankets. We tell them, “Stay here, we can bring it to you.”
We never offer, nor give cash – we do offer a smile and a cup of hot nutritious soup with whatever else we can gather. We try to keep the car and trunk well stocked with basic supplies to offer our sisters and brothers on the streets, such as blankets, warm clothes, coats and jackets, boots/shoes, socks and clean underwear.
