Some promising news. The endangered Black-capped Petrel is the only gadfly petrel that still breeds in the Caribbean, now reduced to just a few known nesting sites in the mountains of Hispaniola. Now one has finally been found in the historic breeding range on the island of Dominica. Hopefully conservation can spring into action and protect the nesting sites if they can be found.
