JACK Quartet

We’re back at the one and only this Saturday for a day of three concerts. Come witness the beautiful unfurling of Catherine Lamb’s two blooms in the morning. In the afternoon, Hans Abrahamsen’s crystalline String Quartet No. 4 and Wolfgang Rihm’s expressionist outpouring “im innersten”. At night, the complete string quartets of Helmut Lachenmann, music that has redrawn the limits of instrumental practice, plus his recent String Trio “mes adieux”

JACK Quartet invites applications from creators in any performing, visual, or interdisciplinary arts practice who have a vision for working with a string quartet. We’re here to explore new artistic territories and build unexpected collaborations.
