I mean….

It is with deep regret and sadness that we must announce the closure of Babette. Our last day of business will be October 31st. Like so many of our friends and fellow small business owners, we just could not make the numbers work.
Between three different locations, Babette has served Berkeley for 14 years. We will host our 22nd and final wedding at the end of the month. It has been a great honor to serve you all, meet your children and grandparents, be a part of your most important celebrations.
We will miss cooking for you all and more than anything, we will miss the beautiful community that has gathered around the Redwood Tree, supported the incredible musicians who we have had the great pleasure to spotlight and our regulars who came for the food, the love and a little bit of grace in these tumultuous times.

There are 4 more Wednesday’s left for music under the stars. Ben Goldberg is a local treasure and exceptionally talented clarinetist. Each week Ben will play with a different ensemble - these are rare appearances and we hope you can catch one or more of these special evenings.

This weekend, Babette hosted two wonderful events – A Wedding Dinner Reception for 80 and an intimate Baby Shower Brunch for 32. We’ve included some photos. Right now, you can take advantage of our 10% off special by booking your event before October 15th. With a full buy-out, you get the entire restaurant and the outdoor patio. Cold weather, no problem. Our heat lamps are mighty powerful and we have a beautiful selection of casual blankets for those who chill easily.

In case of rain, our dining room offers an intimate setting anchored by a glorious chandelier, rich, jewel tone-colored walls and original artwork. With several variations in seating arrangements, we can seat up to 50 inside and 80 outdoors.
