Majority participation is key to securing important new rights and protections, and Postdocs and ARs direct all aspects of the union. Together we fight for fair treatment for Postdocs and ARs, and for social justice for all.

We, the Postdocs, Academic Researchers, Academic Student Employees, & Graduate Student Researchers at UC announce a multi-unit strike starting November 14.
United we will make stop their unlawful conduct & bargain in good faith.

VICTORY ALERT 🚨 After >1 year in bargaining, Postdocs have reached a tentative agreement on our Respectful Work Environment article which makes abusive conduct/bullying a violation of our contract, allowing us to seek real recourse through our grievance procedure!
This wouldn’t have been possible without Postdocs who shared their stories of bullying, a fighting membership, and the strength of UAW 5810 ARs and grad workers in Student Researchers United-UAW and UC Berkeley Student Workers Union - UAW 2865. Now it’s time to win the rest of our contract, and win protections for all academic workers!

Over 60 academic workers came to the UC Irvine meeting to discuss plans to win fair contracts this fall. Postdocs, Academic Researchers, ASEs and Student Researchers are building unity and building power on every campus!
