Alpha Kappa Lambda was first established at UC Berkeley in 1914, preceded by a band of brothers known as Los Amigos. Through a century of change, the fraternity re-established its presence on the Berkeley campus in 2013 and officially rechartered in 2016.

Captain of Cal Quidditch and IM Sports Chair, Djake Stanton, speaks on his championship aspirations:
"I've been playing intramurals with AKL for the past 3 years. Competing alongside my brothers against a variety of clubs, dorm floors, and other fraternities has been an exhilarating experience that can break up long weeks better than any SUPERB concert.
Last year, we led the pack of the co-rec and open soccer leagues during the season. This semester, with center-half Sveto Olujic (pictured in tub) back from loan on the Croatian soccer academy, our chips are aligned for one last run at the title."
