"U.C. Workers Protest as Negotiations Begin with Campus." Check out the Daily Cal coverage of yesterday's AFSCME workers picket to kick off the first day of bargaining! Students came out to show support for workers demanding a fair contract and just working conditions for campus service workers!
“We’re trying to get the UCs to see that we want them to stop raising student fees. We want them to stop cutting from the bottom, and start cutting from the top,” Stokes said. “We’ve been doing more with less, and we just can’t provide quality service with all of these cuts.” - Eugene Stokes, campus maintenance worker.
