Hey, it’s Heather - here to introduce Rayburn House, our project in Dolores Heights which will be wrapping up later this year. We’ve had our heads down in order to help make it all happen, so you’re joining us at an exciting phase - when finish carpentry is in full swing and materials are getting installed!

We like to collect a handful of key words to keep in our pockets while we piece our projects together - a practice gleaned from a talented designer I worked alongside years ago. A few of the touch stones we chose for this one include: “poetic,” “curated,” and “memory.” (Slide through to get a glimpse of how we interpreted these into a flat lay of materials for this past spring, many of which will be reappearing in photos to come.)

In its previous form, this house was both charming and disjointed - already revised with practical, though incongruous, moves orchestrated by previous inhabitants. We decided to embrace the eclecticism and connect the dots while sprinkling in a few of our own, crafting a narrative of imagined histories to articulate a path for its evolution.

We’ve been carefully adding and modifying mouldings, cabinetry, and finishes with the help and expertise of our construction crew at . New furnishings will be moving in after the dust has settled.

What is emerging will be a fresh and aged, weathered and glistening, cozy and uplifting home for wonderful clients who have been sparking our creativity along the way.
