BUILD mentors provide extra, individualized support to struggling readers so they can build the foundational reading skills needed to succeed in school. BUILD mentors work at all 11 public elementary schools in Berkeley, 8 Berkeley community organizations or summer programs, and 6 elementary schools in Oakland. Join the Build Literacy Mentors in working with the youth in helping them with their reading skills! You can either be paid through work study, earn units, or join as a volunteer.
