July is Disability Pride Month, and it's an important reminder that healthcare, including physical therapy, should center what the patient actually wants.

We don't believe in the idea that the goal of PT is to make someone "normal." Our goal is to understand what matters to you. What you want to be able to do, how you want to move, what pain or limitation is getting in the way.. and help you get closer to that.

For patients living with chronic conditions, disabilities, or long-term diagnoses, PT isn't a cure. It's a tool. One that can reduce pain, improve function, and expand what's possible, without erasing who you are or how you live.

You deserve care that sees you as a whole person. That's what we're here for. 💛 Save this post and share it with someone who deserves to hear this.

There's a pattern we see often: a man has been dealing with pelvic pain, leaking, or constipation for years. He's been told it's normal, or it's age, or just something to manage.

So he waits. He adjusts. He stops doing things that make it worse. He doesn't talk about it.

The problem is, the longer the pelvic floor stays in a dysfunctional pattern, the more compensations build up; in the hips, the back, the bladder habits, the breathing.

Pelvic floor PT works. But earlier is easier. The muscles haven't had years to reinforce the pattern. The nervous system is more adaptable. Recovery is faster.

If something feels off, you don't have to wait until it's unbearable. You can just come in and find out what's actually going on. That's what we're here for. DM us or book at the link in bio. 💛

Men's Health Month is the perfect time to address something that doesn't get talked about enough: men's pelvic health.

Pelvic floor dysfunction affects people of all genders. For men, it often shows up as urinary leaking (especially after prostate surgery), chronic pelvic pain, constipation, erectile dysfunction, or groin and tailbone pain.

And yet, most men are never told that pelvic floor PT is an option. Their doctors can't assess the muscle involvement, that's what a PT does.

Your pelvic floor is a group of muscles. Muscles can be assessed, treated, and strengthened. This is fixable. You don't have to just live with it.
