Meet our founder 4th Degree Gordo black belt Professor Dennis Asche — who spent 12 years immersed in the heart of Jiu-Jitsu: Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.
Training, competing, and teaching alongside the best coaches and masters in the world; Dennis created the very first BJJ hostel — a place where thousands of athletes from across the globe came to live, train, and grow. He brought that authentic knowledge and culture back to his hometown of Bend, Oregon, and founded Connection Rio BJJ. This isn’t just Jiu-Jitsu.
