East Cascades Works provided a grant to Transition students to attend the Women In Trade Student Summit. This was an amazing oportunity for these young women to learn more about the careers available to them, gain self advocacy, and realize how strong they really are. Yes, women can do anything! Transition Network - HDESD thank you for sharing this empowering story!

Okay, we just had to share this Worthy employment story! Punny dad jokes aside, we are seriously excited to recognize Corey.

Corey has worked at Worthy Brewing in Bend since it first opened. He is one of Worthy's longest employees. He works in the kitchen, doing prep, and dishwashing, and helping where needed. He works full time, and almost never will miss a day. He is the first to offer to cover a co-workers shift if needed. Corey does not have a job coach and works completly independently, but he is part of a supportive team at Worthy. The relationships he has built with management and co workers have helped him be successful. Thanks Corey and Worthy Brewing for sharing this employment story with us!

We want to recognize a Prineville Employer who is making a difference andalso serving the community fantastic food in a lively atmosphere!

Jim Roths has been an instrumental partner in diversifying the workforce in Crook County. Between his 2 restaurants in Prineville: Club Pioneer and Dillon's Grill, he has employed 7 individuals who experience disabilities.

From Karianne Clark, Central Oregon Employment Solutions:

"Jim understands the value of supported employment and we hope to honor him for his dedication to providing opportunities for all individuals to work and succeed in their communities."
