Kits For Kids
The project begins in May, each year. Bags are sewn from donated fabric by volunteers throughout the community. Kits for Kids has started its 2019 project!
Again we have a goal of 1000 bags of hygiene items for school children in need in Central Oregon.
Working with Family Access Network we make these essential hygiene items for children in Bend, LaPine, Sunriver, Sisters, Redmond, and Prineville.
We welcome donations of any of the hygiene items listed under "Our Story". Donations may be dropped off at First Presbyterian Church Bend, 230 NE 9th St. (across from the Bend HS baseball fields) any weekday but Friday.
If you would like to sew bags or take sewn bags to fill we have a table in the Commons area that you enter from the eastern set of doors. There are instructions for sewing and filling bags and/or you can leave donated items in front of the table.
We welcome monetary donations (we purchase about 1/2 of the items we use). Checks may be made out to First Presbyterian Church Bend with Kits For Kids on the memo line. Mail to the church address above.
Any questions, call 541-330-5683 or the church office at 541-382-4401.
