Who is motivated to lie? The organization making all the money- at the animals’ expense. “We care for our animals,” while subjecting them to the terror of the arena- the hot spots, flank straps, spurs, and horizontal hangings is a blatant lie that, if you look, we can all see.

You will hear lots of lies as the Sisters Rodeo approaches- the favorite being that rodeo animals are treated well. They are NOT treated well in the arena!!!

Rodeo supporters will say rodeo animals are well loved and cared for and then subject them to electric prods or “hot spots.” This definition of care is confounding, as they are shocking innocent animals so they will “perform” (act out of terror and survival) for human entertainment. This is not care!!!

When you hear the news outlet promoting the Sisters Rodeo, remember the animals who have no choice- who are terrified and exploited! Don't buy the lies and do not support animal abuse-NO RODEO!

Central Oregon will be inundated with advertisements promoting the Sisters Rodeo. Don't fall for the lies- rodeos harm animals for the sole purpose of profit and entertainment. Don't believe us? Watch calf roping and ask yourself if you'd want your dog to replace the calf. Don't be fooled by the propaganda!!

Tradition does not justify violence. Rodeos are violent toward animals. We can change this reality by standing up for animals and not supporting rodeos through sponsorship or attendance.
