I normally keep personal things private, but right now our family needs all the eyes, prayers, and positive thoughts we can get. As a small family-run business, our personal lives and our business family are deeply connected. My "Papa" has gone missing while out hiking, and while this has been incredibly hard, we are holding onto faith and know he will make it home to us safely.

I’ll be sharing his missing person flyer and asking everyone to please take a moment to read it and share it. You truly never know who may have seen something or who this post may reach.

Jerry Highsmith was last seen departing for a hike to Fir Lake near Big Meadows Road in Linn County, Oregon on Sunday, May 10, 2026. He planned to return home by Tuesday, May 12, 2026, but did not arrive as expected. Jerry is an experienced hiker and was well-prepared for the trip at the time of his departure.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue are actively searching the Fir Lake area for Jerry. If you have seen him or have any information regarding his whereabouts, please contact us immediately at 541-967-3950 and reference case #26-01799.
