This might have been the hardest job ever. Sandstone, hillside, roots.

But the team pulled together and made it happen.

The views made it all worth it. This was the same week the orcas were spotted in bellingham bay.

Three of my favorite things.

Team work.

I’ve always been a fan of X-Men since I was 5. I like seeing how a crazy group with disparate skills but a common goal can do more together.

Beauty.

It’s a hard world. Gasp-worthy beauty is oxygen to my soul.

The PNW Outdoors.

Boy when we get sun is out is there anywhere else I’d rather be? NO! Welp…maybe Portugal in late spring… but I’m still going to be excited to come home!

Lucky.
I get to see all three every day!

Need a horse pasture fence with Hotwire? We install flexible, safe fence that’s affordable and avoids the “cheese-cutter” effect of wire.

Avoid vet bills from dangerous fence styles.

How do you teach kids grit these days with cell phones and TikTok brain rot?

Make them responsible for a noble goofy animal!

This is your last chance to join me at the Herman Miller auction tonight. Saturday Feb 7.

3 ways to cut a curve in the top of your gate:

1. tack a string to the middle of the gate and tie a pencil to the other side. Adjust the arc of the string until it matches your desired radius. Pencil it on and cut your arc.

2. Bend a thin piece of pvc pipe in the arc that matches your desired radius. Use the pipe to trace the arc on with pencil and then cut.

3. Download an app on your phone called ArcGate. Transfer the image of your arc to a laptop, screen share your laptop image to an Apple TV connected to your
LED projector. Power your projector with a solar battery. Attach your solar battery to a solar panel. Attach a large piece of graph paper to the gate. Project the image of the gate arc on your raw cedar with graph paper on it. Transcribe the image to the graph paper. Cut out the arc on graph paper. Pin the new paper stencil to your gate. Spray paint the area above your paper stencil. Remove the stencil. Use a grease pen to finalize the cut line. Use a Milwaukee M18 cordless router to plunge cut a starter hole in 4-7 places along the arc. Go back to Home Depot and purchase a M18 Skill saw. Put the blade on backwards. Take the blade back off. Put it back on in the correct direction.
Decide that a jigsaw would be better, buy one from Amazon and wait a bit. Unbox jigsaw. Charge jig saw battery.

Cut out arc.

Put away tools and projector system.

Recycle Amazon box.

You’re done! 🙂

Don’t look at the previous comments.

Guess where this is.

We just wrapped up this two-rail fence on a crisp sunny winter day.

Would you use a big garden box as a fence?

Our team wrapped this one up today in Blaine. Getting it ready for privacy shrubs next week.

Merry Christmas everyone.

P.S.
Some of our staff were affected by the floods. We're praying for them and others in our community this morning.

Thanks for others of you who are helping a neighbor today.
