Students met in the cafeteria at 10 a.m., participating in the nationwide school walkout to honor the victims of the Parkland shooting one month after it happened. After students were gathered, a slideshow with pictures and information about each victim was played. Students were then encouraged to write letters to voice their opinions to local politicians. “I’m writing to our senators to get their attention for more gun regulations,” Leila Jones (10) said, “No one should be afraid to go to public places.”
