The Monk Slippers will be providing the groovy tunes for The Dirty Dan Mystery Weekend taking place this weekend. We're scheduled to play the Village Green in Fairhaven 11am-1pm Sunday the 26th. It will be a spooky good time!

Knit and Brew! We're playing 2 gigs this weekend:
1) Knit night at Whatcom Museum Bring your knitting project and get a Monk beanie pattern! Tonight Friday 6-8pm, Old City Hall.
2) Collaborator Pale Ale Beer Release Collaborator Brew Launch - Coalition Pint Night @ Menace supporting the Whatcom Working Waterfront Coalition Saturday 4pm.

Beer + Monk Slippers = Fun!!!!

Who knew baritone saxophonists could brew beer? Well, our bari player Kendall was Brewer for a Day at Menace Brewing.

He brewed up the Cooperator West Coast Pale Ale to support the Working Waterfront Coalition to celebrate co-ops and coalitions that use democratic processes to make this world a better place. In the case of our Working Waterfront Coalition...it's true...beer builds boats.

This Saturday is the Beer Release Party at Menace. Every pint bought will support the Working Waterfront Coalition. The Cooperator Pale Ale is made with two row barley, biscuit and wheat malts, with simcoe, Cascade and El Dorado hops. It's a heck of a beer and very drinkable.

Knit Night part 2. It was so fun last December we're going to do it again.You can knit, you can dance, you can nod your head in glee. The Monk Slippers will play First Friday at Whatcom Museum (Old City Hall). Bring your work in progress to knit away...or yeah...just dance away the night. We'll be grooving from 6 to 8pm at The Old City Hall Dance Room. Friday December 5th.

Friday night is for wining and dining at the Vault with The Monk Slippers. Come join us tonight at the Vault Wine Bar in Blaine. 7-9pm

This Friday 10-24 Monk Slippers will be playing as a trio at The Vault Wine Bar in Blaine with Kendall on saxophones and flute, Marinus on the acoustic piano, and Dylan on drums. Make sure to reserve on Open Table!
