Finally got around to finishing my "The Salish Sea Orca Poker Club" illustration. Just my fun little "homage" to artist Cassius Marcellus Coolidge's "Dogs Playing Poker" from 1894.
It's Prismacolor Color Pencils layered on top of one of my mixed media drawings on colored drawing paper.
One of my experimental illustrations with lots of re-do's.
But at some point, I just had to just stop.
I have furniture arriving.
The original idea for this illustration was it to become a greeting card design, but it evolved into something more.... just fun.

It seems like I've been working on this illustration for months.....
Oh wait, I have.
I started this '69 Grand Prix out front of a Cinerama Theater sometime late last fall, and it's been gathering dust for months.
I decided to stop beating it to death and finish it and put it out of it's misery. My first post surgery experiment.
I am rusty. But onward and upwards.
Next up, a illustration of some Orca whales playing poker just for fun........ then on to a portrait of Jack Benny.......
I definitely need the portrait practice.......
