Trump is threatening war crimes of horrific proportions. There is no other interpretation of “a whole civilization will die tonight.” This isn’t America. Congress must intervene to stop this madness.

This year I passed a big change to the way that we tax wind and solar farms in Washington state. The new level tax, based on the system size, will be better for rural communities, school districts, etc, that rely on steady revenue. It will also be better for the companies and workers that want to build theses systems and need communities to say yes to building permits. It was a tough negotiation, but in the end we had broad bipartisan support.
