This trio of Sebastopol goslings is looking for their own address. 2 females and 1 male, DNA sexed. Hatched 4/4/26. Pick up from Bellingham, WA.

In-ovo gender testing allows me to know if the developing embryo inside an egg is male or female weeks before they hatch.

I pulled samples from incubating Welsh Harlequin and Indian Runner eggs and was less than delighted with the results. Two lines indicates a female, one line indicates a male. I’m counting 11 males and 4 females in this batch. That’s pretty far from the theoretical 50% male/ 50% female for straight run poultry.

Though I’m not thrilled with so many males, I would much rather know now than after months of care, feed, and falling in love with them. Knowledge is power!
