After seeing this and having acquired further knowledge and having formed all the necessary connections, they returned home and continued to plan and solicit help back here in Issaquah. As importing building materials directly to Haiti proves extremely difficult, it is the mission of RAB to locally create building materials in Haiti melting down and using the excessive plastic waste that litters the streets and beaches all across the country, thereby addressing both homelessness and environmental cleanup simultaneously. In 2011 RAB teamed up with Western Washington University through their Plastics Engineering, and Environmental departments to master this technology and accomplish this goal. Having developed the technology to melt and recycle plastic waste, RAB is now launching the technology center, Sant PLASTIK, in Les Cayes.
