Time to bring back some more education on lash extensions!!

There is a lot of misconception within the lash extension world between an 𝘈𝘓𝘓𝘌𝘙𝘎𝘐𝘊 𝘙𝘌𝘈𝘊𝘛𝘐𝘖𝘕 versus a 𝘊𝘏𝘌𝘔𝘐𝘊𝘈𝘓 𝘙𝘌𝘈𝘊𝘛𝘐𝘖𝘕.

ALLERGIC REACTION-
This is going to be accompanied be common allergy symptoms,
• Itchiness
• Redness
• Swelling
• Dry or flakey skin

Unfortunately sometimes we develop an allergy to one or many of the products we use when lashing. Typically it is within the adhesive when an allergy arises, however it could be any of the products.

CHEMICAL REACTION-
A chemical reaction is not always a chemical burn. This reaction can look like
• Darker Redness in the eye (usually both eyes)
• General eye discomfort
• Eye Itchiness

A chemical reaction can be caused by a few things, and one of them is being a 𝓫𝓲𝓰 𝓽𝓪𝓵𝓴𝓮𝓻.
Hear me out, talking itself isn’t what causes the reaction, but when you talk, most of us like to move without even realizing it. This can cause the pads to move, potentially giving our eyeball a little scratch. Along with a little scratch, this can also mean that our eyeball was slightly open, as lashes were being applied. As lash glue cures, it releases fumes, and these fumes can be very irritating for our eyes.

Most eye discomfort from lash extensions subsides quickly, but it is important to let your artist know if either happen within 24 hours after your appointment!
