Shortly after 6 am Saturday morning a freight train was derailed on a collapsed bridge near Reed Point, Mt. The train and tankers carrying toxic materials were thrown into the flooding Yellowstone River. The bridge also carried 2 major fiber optic trunks entering Montana. It will take up to 90 days to repair the bridge. From that time until 1 pm Sunday afternoon our service has been degraded and has traveled 1 fiber optic circuit from Seattle. Our senior staff and technical engineers have worked around the clock and we now have a temporary work around for transporting our data out of Montana.
