The objective at Fresh Dermatology is to help you achieve results that are completely natural and help you look more rested, revitalized, and refreshed. Dr. Candace Thrash, a native Texan, is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. She completed her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where she finished in the top 10% of her class. Dr. Thrash completed an internship in Internal Medicine through Northwestern University School of Medicine then went on to complete her residency in dermatology at the world-famous Cook County Hospital in Chicago. After completing her board certification, Dr. Thrash entered private practice in Chicago. During her time in Chicago, Dr. Thrash was actively involved in clinical research, teaching, public speaking, and was a successful entrepreneur. She was awarded the Physician Star Award from Swedish Covenant Hospital and was frequently quoted in newspaper and television media. Dr. Thrash relocated to Lakeway in 2008 to be closer to family. She worked in private practice and clinical research in the Austin area for 5 years before opening Fresh Dermatology. Dr. Thrash launched Fresh Dermatology because she wanted to create an environment where patients of all ages could seek practical, honest answers to their skin care questions. Dr. Thrash enjoys building long relationships with her patients and supporting the community.
