For some, barriers to mobility are part of everyday life. For others, they may arise during a period of change, recovery, or transition.

The realities may be different, but the goal is often the same:

To move through the world with greater ease, confidence, and independence.

That deeply human desire is something that connects us all.

We've spent a lot of time thinking about DOOR-E.

How should it look? How should it work? How can it make everyday life a little easier?

Somewhere along the way, another question started popping up:

"What would DOOR-E's personality be?"

The funny thing is, we never really had to decide.

As DOOR-E evolved, certain moods seemed to emerge all on their own. Some were inspired by late nights, some by exciting milestones, and some by moments that felt a little too relatable. 😄

Personality has a way of showing up when you least expect it.

So, we'd like to introduce a few of DOOR-E's many moods.

We're counting down the days until Abilities Expo Houston!

Every year, Abilities Expo brings together people from across the accessibility community, creating opportunities to connect, learn, discover new technologies, and share experiences.

We're excited to return for this year's event, meet new faces, reconnect with familiar ones, and showcase the next chapter of Open Door Robotics.

As we get closer to the event, we'll be sharing more details about what we're bringing to Houston. Until then, we hope you'll join us in celebrating the volunteers and organizations that make Abilities Expo such a special experience year after year.
