Greater Baton Rouge State Fair

During 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵, we’re proud to acknowledge the high school volunteers who dedicate their time to benefit their schools and communities. Each year, we invite local high schools to choose an 11th grader to honor as part of our “𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺.”

Last year, during the fair, we celebrated a record 51 high school students and presented them with a $𝟱𝟬𝟬 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱. Since 1987, the fair and the Baton Rouge State Fair Foundation have committed 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 $𝟱𝟬𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 to high school volunteer awards and endowed scholarships.

Volunteer award recipients represent schools from the following parishes in the Greater Baton Rouge Region:

• Ascension
• East Baton Rouge
• East Feliciana
• Iberville
• Livingston
• Pointe Coupee
• St. Helena
• Tangipahoa
• West Baton Rouge
• West Feliciana

All profits from the Greater Baton Rouge State Fair support local worthy causes like the “Outstanding Student Volunteer Awards Program.” It’s part of the fair and Baton Rouge State Fair Foundation 's commitment to volunteerism and philanthropy, with 𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 $𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟭𝟵𝟴𝟳.
