Our very own Jessica Monsour, LPC, NCC, CGP will be presenting at Open Health Care Clinic's Open Talks Event on Wednesday, May 20th, covering the neuroscience behind addiction: dopamine, memory, reinforcement, and how the brain gets rewired by substance use.

If you've ever wanted a clear, clinically grounded explanation of what addiction does to the brain, this is for you.

Open to the public. 1 Clinical CEU provided. Noon to 1:00 pm.

Early awareness leads to better outcomes.

We invite parents and families to attend the Vital Signs Family Forum on April 30, where Brandy Klingman, CEO of St. Christopher’s Addiction Wellness Center, will join a panel of local leaders focused on youth mental health and substance use prevention.

This community conversation is designed to provide practical insight, community support, and a clearer understanding of how to recognize and respond to early signs of risk.

Free and open to the public. Registration required.

We are so proud to sponsor this year’s Louisiana Group Psychotherapy Society’s Spring Institute taking place April 11–12 at The Cook Hotel and Conference Center at LSU in Baton Rouge.

We are especially excited to share that Micha Matherne, LCSW, Family Program Director for St. Christopher’s Addiction Wellness Center and Magnolia Belle, will be serving as one of the experiential group leaders for the event.

Events like this create space for meaningful dialogue and discovery within the professional community.

If you have not registered yet, there is still time to join!

This is healing in motion.

Recovery does not stay confined to a group room. It unfolds out here, in the woods, on the trail, and in shared moments where men move forward together. They talk honestly, laugh freely, and experience life without substances, often for the first time in a long while.
This is experiential work in action. It is not only about staying sober, but about learning how to live well, engage with others, and build a life that feels worth protecting.
