ABWA - La Capitale

La Capitale was recognized by our District 2 Vice President, Kristena Hackett, with “The Heart of District II Award.
This recognition honors the league that has continually strengthened District II through collaboration, encouragement, volunteerism, and unwavering support of fellow leagues.”

This recognition speaks volumes about our members and our leadership team!
Many members have travelled to other leagues to visit and volunteer their time as speakers, they have worked to develop and help develop new chapter formations not only in Louisiana, but in other states. Our leadership team has spent time working with our chapters to collaborate and develop more future leaders. We spend our time wisely, to help others, build others up, and grow our own chapter. Thank you for being such amazing women whom we are proud to have as members.

As we step into a new chapter year, may we continue to strive to improve, to be servants, and to remember that we all get to win!

Kayla Clouatre Minutia Inc. was present at the recent District 2 VP Celebration and received this award on behalf of the La Capitale chapter and all of its members.

One of the greatest ways to strengthen ABWA is to share it with another woman.

Every invitation to a luncheon, every conversation over coffee, and every new member sponsorship helps grow not only our La Capitale chapter but the American Business Women’s Association as a whole. Each new member brings fresh ideas, new perspectives, and another opportunity to support a woman on her personal and professional journey.

You never really know: who’s reading your emails, who’s silently watching, who’s waiting. You keep going and you keep loving all moments and all opportunities. When some current active members of La Capitale showed up to volunteer this past weekend, we had no idea the wonderful connection we were about to have. A former member read that upcoming event email, loved the opportunity, and had her grandson tag along for service hours. What a wonderful meeting and connection we had! ABWA sisterhood never ends. Our paths cross, run together, bend away, and come back. What a wonderful life!
