The 5th Season Hurricane Special 2025 As a new Hurricane Season begins, our First Alert Weather Team is ready to keep you informed, prepared, and most of all—safe.

LSU’s nationally renowned Coastal Emergency Risks Assessment, or CERA, shows storm surge of 10 feet or more along the outer coastline of Terrebonne Parish due to Hurricane Francine.

The tool helps first responders and emergency managers across the nation position critical resources ahead of storms.

LSU received its official designation as a National Center of Academic Excellence at the NSA - National Security Agency's cybersecurity education colloquium.

Among the 36 schools designated this year, LSU is the only university to become a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations.
