The arbitrator in a vigorously contested arbitration dispute between a roofing subcontractor and the general contractor on a project for the US Army Corps of Engineers handed down an award in favor of our client in excess of $410,000.00 this past week.

The dispute centered on a misinterpreted engineering note and the contention that the prime contractor inhibited and prevented the client from performing its anticipated contract obligations.

The prime contractor had initially filed its own claim for more than $1.5 Million after it wrongfully terminated the roofing subcontractor, but the award denied any affirmative relief on such claim.
