Bayou Queenie (Sharon Furrate Bailey) is the name that I utilize when painting-my Crawfish Series. I have completed 4 in this series: Save Me, The Chosen One and Swamp Pop Balletand Krewe of Crustaceans. In the future, it is my goal to bring these lively crustacean paintings to life in various other forms: hand towels, coasters, greeting cards, etc.

I typically post my crawfish series that has been very popular in the United States and abroad, but I am also known for my abstracts. This one is Hillyer House in Ocean Springs, MS. It is such a wonderful place. I have only been a couple of times but I call it my mini-Carmel. It is a quaint and wonderful community and the arts are booming there too as well as cuisine.

This special Crawfish painting has the Hotel Bentley sign--yes a classic historical hotel in Alexandria, LA. This lady crawfish must be staying there. This was painted about 5 years ago for a special family in Alexandria, LA.

Finished this one last week "Alexandria Watertower at Night" a memory to many. It will be available Southern Chic this Holiday season..original and prints --the crawfish series continues.
