This month's member spotlight is Lambert Rome!

Lambert has been a member of the Charles W. Lamar Jr. YMCA for about a year and a half. He enjoys lifting weights at the Y and is motivated by fellow members who work out at the same time as they have become friends and have encouraged him to keep pushing to reach his goals.

Lambert says the Y was not the first gym he joined but since switching, it has become a huge part of his success. When he started at the Y, his routine was greatly improved helping him to lose weight and improve his overall health. He has been able to overcome previous health conditions and the Y was his go-to rehab after his knee replacement.

Lambert says that anytime he can't visit the Y (which isn't often) he feels like a part of his day is missing.

We are happy to have Lambert as a Y member and congratulate him on his many successes on his journey to become healthier!

Due to the current weather conditions, the C. B. Pennington Jr. YMCA will open at 4pm on Friday, January 24 and close at our normal hours.

Programs and services will be limited at all locations. Please check the Y app for group exercise class availability.
