Happy Father's Day from St. Joseph Cathedral! This powerful bronze statue by Ivan Mestrovic of the father embracing his prodigal son beautifully illustrates the boundless love and mercy of our Heavenly Father (Luke 15:11-32).

May we be inspired to imitate this divine fatherhood, as did our own Patron St. Joseph, offering welcoming love and mercy in our own lives and communities.

We give thanks for all fathers and those in our lives who reflect this Divine Paternal love. May God bless them with strength, wisdom, and grace this Father's Day!

Tomorrow at our noon time celebration of Mass honoring the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Fr. Cary will lead the congregation in the Prayer of Consecration of the Nation to the Protection and Care of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, continuing in our local parish what the what the Bishops of the country will do today. All are welcome to join us, but if you cannot, please join the Bishops today in praying this prayer.

Today, the Bishops of the United States will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Parishes and individuals around the country are encouraged to join the U.S. Catholic bishops in this historic occasion, beginning with this Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus written for the consecration.
