As a HBCU institution founded in 1946 with a glorious history tied to the civil rights struggle dating back to the 1950s, we are proud to note that our graduates are still in the forefront of cutting-edge legal battles. Our diverse alumni serve in large and small law firms, public interest law organizations, and are leaders in local, state, and national government. They attribute their success to the legal education they received at the Southern University Law Center.

The SULC Tech & Entrepreneurship Clinic in partnership with the University of New Orleans Urban Entrepreneurship and Policy Institute, is expanding access to legal guidance for Louisiana entrepreneurs through its Open Clinic Days, a series of educational legal consultation events.

During Spring and Summer 2026, the clinics provided one-on-one consultations to nearly 30 small businesses and entrepreneurs representing a variety of industries and stages of development, offering guidance on a wide range of issues affecting their businesses.

SULC Tech remains committed to growing its partnerships and strengthening Louisiana’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by expanding access to legal education and resources while preparing the next generation of transactional attorneys to serve businesses and communities throughout the state.

If you are interested in participating in future Open Clinic events during the upcoming fall semester, please contact us at [email protected] for additional information.
