Remember Lindsay Garcia?
She filed a federal lawsuit around Louisiana’s congressional map. Now she’s heading back to court.

Garcia says her case focuses on whether the Governor had the authority to stop election in the first place.

There’s still a lot of arguments over the state’s new map, namely that it’s still a racial gerrymander and it’s a direct attempt to minimize minority voting power.

Garcia says her case needs answers either way.

Right now there’s a hearing for June 17 to review Louisiana’s new congressional map. Garcia, Lauren Jewett, and Eugene Collins have moved to intervene in the case. An official ruling on their motion to intervene is expected on or after June 5th.
