Dorcas of Baton Rouge reaches China!

We were able to send dresses for children in China. While our original goal was to donate the dresses to an orphanage, the orphanage was unable to accept donations. We were delighted when the opportunity arose for us to give the dresses to young families in an underground Christian church. This church meets in secret and these young families are struggling financially, but are striving to raise their children in the faith, despite risk of arrest and imprisonment. The families were overwhelmed and encouraged that fellow Christians in the United States would design and sew these beautiful dresses for their daughters. Thank you to Dorcas Baton Rouge to be able to show Christ’s love to the world.

Pudimos mandar vestidos a China. Nuestro objetivo original era donarlos a un orfanato, y nos alegró mucho cuando surgió la oportunidad de entregar los vestidos a familias jóvenes de una iglesia cristiana clandestina. Esta iglesia se reúne en secreto. Estas familias jóvenes atraviesan dificultades económicas, pero se esfuerzan por criar a sus hijos en la fe, a pesar del riesgo de ser arrestadas y encarceladas. Las familias se sintieron profundamente conmovidas y animadas al saber que otros cristianos en Estados Unidos diseñarían y confeccionarían estos hermosos vestidos para sus hijas.
